Latchkey AI Agents: Tales of Unsupervised Decisions and the Case for a New Security Control Plane Strategy

· Venetian Ballroom F

About this session

We’ve entered an era where autonomous agents make decisions, execute transactions, and write code—often with limited oversight. Like latchkey kids of a prior generation, they’re resourceful but prone to poor judgment and unintended risks. This talk explores what it means to act as a guardian of autonomy, introducing the need for an agentic control plane to govern identity, authorization, and behavior across non-human actors. As Mythos and other models demonstrate, time-to-exploitation has collapsed, and defenders must now operate at machine speed. Drawing on examples from agentic commerce and platforms like OpenClaw and Codex, this session outlines strategies to manage emerging threats and establish systematic trust as foundational rules. Attendees will learn how to manage risk and regulatory hurdles with free and open resources for adoption of autonomous agents.
