About Todd
Todd Barr is the CEO of Axonis, which brings AI to the data - wherever it lives - and turns it into trusted, traceable decisions. Built originally for the U.S. defense and intelligence community, Axonis runs secure, real-time AI on operational, sovereign, and edge data without ever moving it: every outcome grounded in the right data, governed by policy, and fully auditable. It accelerates time-to-AI value while enabling cross-organization collaboration without sharing data. For example, Axonis is the AI platform behind a flood early-warning system that went live in Galveston County, Texas, in 2026.
Todd has built the brands and categories behind the open infrastructure technical teams actually adopt. He was CMO of GitLab, where he helped define the DevOps Platform category, and of Chainlink Labs, the standard Web3 oracle platform; earlier, he helped turn Ansible and Red Hat into open-source infrastructure the industry runs on. Now he's doing it again for AI governance, backing an open standard for decision evidence so trust isn't locked to any one vendor. At Ai4, he'll argue that as AI collapses time-to-decision, the advantage goes to whoever can make those decisions safe, auditable and replayable. Join his session called "The AI Decisions Gap: Why Model Explainability Is Only Half the Battle" on August 4th at 11:05am.
