Thomas DeFabrizio is a 2025 Atlanta CFO of the Year finalist and serves as CFO for a global workforce solutions company, overseeing finance and operations across the Americas. He has more than 20 years of finance leadership experience spanning Wall Street (Bank of New York), mid-market operational CFO roles, and board service across technology, professional services, workforce transformation, and distribution companies ranging from $50 million to over $2 billion in revenue.

He started his career inside one of the largest custodial banks in the world during the 2008 financial crisis, where he watched institutions with more data than anyone still get blindsided. The lesson stuck: data is not visibility. Since then he has led finance through acquisitions and integrations, made payroll calls when cash was tight, implemented multiple cloud systems, renegotiated bank covenants, and built the reporting that tells leadership the truth before the quarter does.

What sets his work apart is that he builds the systems himself. He has designed and deployed AI-powered diagnostic and automation tools that connect finance data to live decisions, including a working diagnostic running on a no-code pipeline wired to a large language model. He treats AI the way he treats finance: not as a headline, but as plumbing that has to hold when the decision is on the line.

His approach centers on the five areas most leadership teams struggle to see clearly: growth quality, profit structure, cash positioning, operational efficiency, and business value. He is known for replacing reporting complexity with decision-grade clarity.

Thomas holds CPA, MBA, MSA, and CGMA credentials, is a 2026 Titan 100 honoree, and holds multiple AI and enterprise systems certifications. As a certified Zodiak facilitator, he has trained hundreds of non-finance leaders to connect daily decisions to the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
