About Sutanay
Dr. Sutanay Choudhury is Chief Scientist for Data Sciences and Deputy Director of the Computational and Theoretical Chemistry Institute at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). His research sits at the intersection of agentic AI systems and the physical sciences — building multi-agent reasoning architectures that integrate large language models, deep learning, and knowledge bases to accelerate scientific discovery. Current work includes autonomous AI-driven experimentation, bio-chemical conversion process design through human-AI collaborative workflows, and explainable decision support. His research has been supported by the U.S. Departments of Energy, Defense, Homeland Security, and Veterans Affairs, and recognized with a Microsoft Accelerate Foundation Models Research award and an R&D 100 Award.
