Stian Kirkeberg is Head of AI and Machine Learning at Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), Norway's $1.7 trillion sovereign wealth fund. He leads AI transformation across 700+ employees in Oslo, London, New York, and Singapore.

Since joining NBIM's leadership team, Stian has driven the organization from experimentation to production deployment. His transformation strategy moved NBIM through democratization, organizational adoption, and strategic execution, achieving 20%+ efficiency gains and several production systems.

Under his leadership, NBIM established 71 AI Ambassadors across all business areas, transitioning from hundres pilot projects to standardized production systems serving both administrative and investment operations.

Stian led the build of NBIM's AI infrastructure on Anthropic's Claude platform, integrating with AWS, Snowflake, and SharePoint while maintaining security and governance standards required for a sovereign wealth fund.

His work has been featured in Anthropic's customer case studies and financial services webinars. Prior to NBIM, he developed expertise in architecture, cloud, machine learning, and quantitative investment strategies.

Stian holds a master's degree in computer science and finance. He focuses on practical AI implementation, organizational change management, and measuring ROI in financial services.
