About Saurav
Saurav (Rav) Gupta, MBA, MS, is Senior Director of Product Management and AI Transformation at Eli Lilly and Company, where he leads product strategy, roadmap, and delivery of AI-enabled commercial platforms across one of the world's largest pharmaceutical organizations. With 18+ years of product management and business transformation experience across pharma, medical devices, insurance, and connected health — including roles at Johnson & Johnson, Boston Scientific, and Liberty Mutual — Rav has built a career at the intersection of strategic product leadership, enterprise AI adoption, and large-scale business transformation across some of the most complex and regulated industries in the world.
At Lilly, his product work is grounded in a singular focus — getting patients to therapy faster and keeping them there. He owns the platforms and AI-enabled workflows that power patient enrollment, access, affordability, and omnichannel engagement across multi-billion dollar therapeutic franchises, touching millions of patient and provider interactions annually. He leads Lilly's agentic AI build for commercial operations — deploying AI into real patient services and access workflows to reduce friction, automate routine touchpoints, and surface the right intervention at the right moment in the patient journey.
At the heart of that work is the craft of product management itself — translating ambiguity into prioritized roadmaps, aligning organizations around what to build and why, and delivering platforms that drive measurable outcomes in highly regulated environments. Over the past few years, AI has fundamentally changed how he approaches that work — from accelerating customer research and requirements to sharpening prioritization decisions and moving faster from insight to execution. Rav has developed a practical, hands-on point of view on where AI genuinely amplifies a PM's impact and where human judgment, stakeholder trust, and product intuition remain irreplaceable.
He holds an MBA in Marketing, Strategy & Innovation from Boston University, an MS in Engineering from Northeastern University, holds 15+ patents in digital health systems and technology, and serves as an NSF SBIR/STTR panel reviewer supporting early-stage healthcare technology innovation.
