I am a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois Chicago. As a computer and information scientist with deep expertise in machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and natural language processing (NLP), I apply these methodologies in cancer, mental health and public health research. I currently serve as a Co-Investigator on multiple NIH R01 studies, where I lead advanced analytics, including generalised linear mixed models, high-dimensional ML, and large-language-model (LLM) models. I have collaborated across psychiatry, infectious diseases, and population health on projects that integrate biological, behavioral, and clinical text data. Across more than 40 peer-reviewed publications, my contributions center on turning messy, real-world clinical and digital data into actionable predictions and interpretable insights.
