About Rohit

Rohit Garewal is the CEO and chief architect of Object Edge, a 150-person, engineering-first firm. Across a 30-year career in enterprise technology, he has delivered complex, mission-critical systems for billion-dollar organizations — and is now rebuilding the firm, and its clients, around one conviction: in the AI era, the data platform is the moat, and almost everything above it is commoditizing. A builder-CEO who still writes code and designs systems, Rohit is the chief architect of HIVE and Sayya — Object Edge's semantic-intelligence and agent-orchestration platform and its conversational interface layer. HIVE starts from a blunt premise: enterprises stall on AI not because the models are weak, but because their data is illegible to those models. HIVE makes the enterprise legible — combining a knowledge graph, episodic memory, and entity dossiers with an orchestration layer that turns legibility into action. The full stack (graph database, vector retrieval, tiered model routing) deploys with 100% data containment inside the customer's own cloud, so proprietary data and IP never leave the perimeter. A leader in the Palantir and enterprise-ontology AI circuit, Rohit is proving that architecture in the field with Motorola Solutions, Volkswagen Brasil, and Royal Caribbean, and across a federal track spanning work with the Social Security Administration and partnerships with Leidos and Bain. Earlier, he led Object Edge's emergence as a premier Oracle and Salesforce CPQ implementation partner, delivering revenue-critical commerce and configure-price-quote systems for the Fortune 500. His view on data infrastructure is shaped by a contrarian read of where defensibility is heading. As foundation-model capability commoditizes and the "build premium" collapses, he argues the durable advantage is no longer the application or the API — it's a well-governed semantic layer over proprietary data. Get the data platform right and AI compounds; get it wrong and no model rescues you. Rohit writes and speaks frequently on the semantic layer as the foundational unlock for enterprise AI, the shift from jobs to tasks, and why hard problems and relationships — not capital — are the real moats. A Bay Area native, he now lives in Barcelona with his wife and three children, where he co-hosts a family podcast on the move from California to Catalonia.
