About Rebecca

Rebecca Hinds (rebeccahinds.com) is the Head of the Work AI Institute (workai.institute), a first-of-its-kind research center that conducts actionable research to help leaders and organizations navigate the changing world of work. A leading expert on work transformation and the future of work, she is also a sought-after keynote speaker represented by United Talent Agency (UTA). She has presented at leading global conferences, including Dreamforce, Google Cloud Next, HubSpot INBOUND, SXSW, Ai4, and CloudFest, and delivered talks for organizations including Amazon, Microsoft, HP, Deloitte, Google, ExxonMobil, Citi, and IBM. She is also a frequent guest lecturer at universities around the world, including Stanford and UC Berkeley.

Rebecca is the bestselling author of Your Best Meeting Ever (Simon & Schuster), which became an instant national bestseller in 2026 and was called “required reading” by Adam Grant. She earned her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from Stanford University, where she received the prestigious Stanford Graduate Interdisciplinary Fellowship, one of the university’s highest honors for graduate students. She was also inducted into Cap and Gown, Stanford’s women’s leadership honor society. A multi-time founder, Rebecca co-founded Stratio, a semiconductor company developing infrared sensing technology, while at Stanford. Stratio was recognized by the Kairos Society as one of the 50 most innovative student-run businesses in the world.

In 2022, Rebecca founded the Work Innovation Lab at Asana, which conducted cutting-edge research on how work is changing. Her award-winning research and insights are regularly featured in publications including Harvard Business Review, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Inc., and TIME. She has also published in leading academic outlets, including Organization Science and CSCW.

Rebecca is a co-instructor of the 2025 CNBC Make It course How to Use AI to Be More Successful at Work and a columnist for Inc. and Reworked. She also serves on the advisory boards of the Remote Work Institute and the Doodle Time Institute.

A former competitive swimmer, Rebecca competed on Stanford’s Pac-12 championship-winning swim team and was a semifinalist at the 2008 Canadian Olympic Swimming Trials.
