About Pete

Dr. Pete Limon is a cybersecurity educator, published scholar, instructional designer, and industry-certified professional with more than 18 years of experience in programming, cybersecurity, networking, and technology education. He has taught and developed curriculum for higher education institutions, including DeVry University and the University of Arizona Global Campus, delivering workforce-focused instruction in cybersecurity, secure programming, network defense, cyber operations, and emerging technologies.

Dr. Limon earned his Doctor of Computer Science (DCS) in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Colorado Technical University and holds a Master of Science in Cyber Operations from the University of Arizona, along with graduate degrees in software engineering, information systems, and business administration. His multidisciplinary background enables him to bridge technical expertise with strategic leadership and workforce development.

Most recently, Dr. Limon designed and developed a comprehensive Artificial Intelligence and Ethical AI Workforce Readiness Program. Created for universities, corporations, government agencies, healthcare organizations, and private-sector employers, the course prepares learners to effectively and responsibly utilize artificial intelligence technologies in professional environments.

The program includes hands-on skill builders, practical labs, simulations, and real-world case studies that provide experience using Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI platforms, machine learning applications, and AI-powered business tools. Participants learn prompt engineering, AI-assisted decision-making, workflow automation, data analysis, content generation, and responsible implementation of AI technologies.

A key component of the curriculum is ethical AI adoption. Learners explore topics such as AI governance, privacy, cybersecurity risks, algorithmic bias, legal compliance, intellectual property concerns, and responsible decision-making. The course demonstrates how AI is transforming industries including healthcare, cybersecurity, information technology, business operations, education, law enforcement, government services, finance, and human resources.

Designed as a scalable workforce development solution, the program is available for licensing and customization by colleges, universities, training organizations, corporations, and government agencies seeking to upskill employees and prepare future professionals for an AI-driven economy.

In addition to his curriculum development work, Dr. Limon is a published author with IGI Global Scientific Publishing. His 2025 book chapter, “Examining the Relationship Between Faculty Engagement and Student Achievement,” explores educational motivation theories and the ethical use of artificial intelligence to enhance student engagement, confidence, and personalized learning.

Dr. Limon's research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity workforce development, cyber operations, and educational technology. His mission is to develop innovative learning solutions that prepare individuals and organizations to succeed in an increasingly AI-powered world.
