Ningyu Chen, Senior Vice President - Technology, The Home Depot
Ningyu Chen is senior vice president of Technology at The Home Depot. In this role, he leads technology strategy and development for online, marketing, and customer experience initiatives, with a focus on creating seamless digital experiences, scaling online growth, and accelerating AI-first innovation.
Ningyu brings more than 25 years of experience leading enterprise-scale digital, data, and AI transformation across multiple industries. Prior to joining The Home Depot, he served as senior vice president of global technology at Starbucks, where he led digital and retail technology globally and drove data and AI transformation including the at-scale deployment of AI assistant for brisitas in 11,000+ stores across US and Canada. He also served as interim chief technology officer, with end-to-end responsibility for global technology strategy, execution, and operations across all domains, including digital, data, AI, retail, supply chain, corporate systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
Earlier in his career, Ningyu was senior vice president of digital technology and enterprise data at Inspire Brands, where he built multi-brand digital commerce and data & analytics platforms to power business growth. He previously held technology leadership roles at Macy’s and Delta Air Lines.
