Nell Meshcheryakov is the Lead for Responsible Artificial Intelligence in Dominion Energy’s CTO organization, where she helps shape the company’s enterprise approach to ethical, transparent, and trustworthy AI adoption. Nell brings deep expertise spanning artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and strategic leadership. Prior to joining Dominion Energy, she served as Senior Director of Emerging Technologies at SEI, where she led innovation initiatives across multiple domains and established and led the organization’s global AI Center of Excellence. Her career includes leadership roles across operations, product development, information technology, innovation, and enterprise strategy—providing a uniquely holistic perspective on how AI systems are designed, governed, and scaled responsibly. Her passion for AI began in 2016 when she built her first machine learning model. She earned an MIT certificate in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in 2020, and her 2021 doctoral dissertation focused on algorithmic bias in machine learning—laying a strong foundation for her work in Responsible AI. Nell is currently advancing her technical and systems thinking through a Master’s in Systems Engineering at Harvard University. Beyond her professional work, Nell is deeply committed to giving back to the community. She actively supports nonprofits in the Richmond area and is a frequent speaker at conferences, webinars, and community events, where she shares insights on Responsible AI and ethical technology adoption.
