Mohamed Battisha is the Vice President of Engineering for Data as a Service (DaaS) at WEX, where he leads the company’s enterprise data, AI, and platform transformation. With deep experience building large-scale data platforms, semantic architectures, and AI-native systems, Mohamed oversees WEX’s global ingestion, data modeling, and AI enablement strategy across the company’s Payments, Mobility, and Benefits businesses.

Prior to WEX, Mohamed spent more than two decades leading data and AI engineering organizations across Microsoft, LinkedIn, Salesforce, and other global enterprises, where he drove the adoption of modern data platforms, multi-agent AI systems, and real-time analytics at massive scale.

At WEX, Mohamed is responsible for defining the Data & AI architecture that powers the company’s next generation of intelligent products—spanning agentic frameworks, vector and embedding platforms, unified ingestion systems, and production-grade semantic models.
