May leads McDonald's Corporation's AI Legal team of attorneys who advise on AI product/system design and deployment, and the company's global AI governance program that covers the US and EU. May's work spans advisory on the intersection of antitrust, consumer protection, employment legal issues and AI, from machine learning algorithms to agentic systems for pricing, sales, supply chain, operational efficiencies and marketing with engineers and architects, to business and legal AI strategy for high business priority initiatives with senior executives. May has a background in technology transactions and privacy, and was previously based at McDonald's APMEA office in Singapore prior to relocating to the Chicago headquarters where she is currently based. She has written on AI governance topics, spoken at AI and legal conferences, and sits on the IAPP AI Governance Training Board. Outside of work, she volunteers as board chair of a global non-profit organization with a mission to mentor young professionals to impact of their cities and communities for good through their work.
