About Max
Max Gokhman is head of artificial intelligence and digital asset solutions for Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions (FTIS). In this role, Max is responsible for developing AI-powered capabilities, including agentic teams, investment models, and workflow augmentations that efficiently improve investment outcomes and support increasingly sophisticated solutions at scale. He also leads the buildout of digital asset allocation capabilities, covering tokenized real-world assets, crypto-native strategies, and the integration of digital assets with traditional multi-asset portfolios.
Most recently, Max was the deputy chief investment officer for FTIS, and was responsible for leading global investment research, including quantitative, fundamental, and manager research teams. He was also responsible for driving the digital transformation of investment processes for FTIS through the MosaiQ platform, a proprietary multi-asset operating system unifying portfolio construction, research, and analysis.
Previously, he was president and chief investment officer of the start-up asset manager AlphaTrAI, where he harnessed artificial intelligence to build objective-oriented investment strategies. Before that, he was head of asset allocation at Pacific Life Fund Advisors, the asset management arm of Pacific Life Insurance Company, for seven years. Prior to Pacific Life, Max was a portfolio manager with Mellon Capital's multi-asset group and a founding member of Coefficient Global, a quantitative macro hedge fund.
Outside of work, Max is an amateur racecar driver with over a decade of motorsport experience across GT and spec racing series.
