Dr. Mark Ritzmann has worked in the field of AI, machine learning, data, and analytics for over 20 years. He has worked for Capgemini, IBM, Oracle, Endeca, and American Express as well as a number of start-ups. He’s taught at Columbia for 10 years in the Applied Analytics, IKNS and Technology Management MSc programs. Dr. Ritzmann is also a co-founder and co-Director of the SPS AI Lab, and the Associate Dean of AI, Analytics and Strategic Communications.

Dr. Ritzmann has conducted primary research in the areas of neural networks, machine learning, missing data imputation, and decision making under uncertain conditions. His current project work includes applied AI, responsible and ethical use of AI, ML, applied analytics, data visualization, and data engineering.
