Mae-Beth Magno, J.D., FIP, FPT, CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, CDPSE

Mae-Beth Magno is a global executive specializing in artificial intelligence governance, model risk management, data privacy, cybersecurity, and enterprise data governance. As the leader of AI Governance and AI Lifecycle Assurance at The Boeing Company, she helps shape the strategy, governance structures, and operational guardrails that enable responsible AI adoption across a complex, highly regulated global enterprise.

Mae-Beth works at the intersection of law, technology, cybersecurity, engineering, data, and business transformation. Her experience includes building and scaling global privacy and AI governance programs, establishing enterprise AI inventories and risk-management processes, designing risk-based assessments, developing policy and technical guardrails, and integrating governance throughout the AI and data lifecycle. She focuses on translating rapidly evolving legal, regulatory, and ethical expectations into practical controls that allow organizations to innovate responsibly, securely, and at scale.

Before joining Boeing, Mae-Beth served in senior leadership roles at Northrop Grumman, including as Chief Privacy Officer. Her broader career spans the aerospace and defense, technology, media, and legal sectors. She also holds a U.S. Top Secret security clearance and brings experience supporting governance across classified and unclassified environments.

Mae-Beth earned her J.D. from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, where she concentrated on intellectual property, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. She is a Fellow of Information Privacy and a Fellow of Privacy Technology and holds the CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, and CDPSE credentials. She has also contributed to the development of professional AI governance certification content and regularly speaks on trusted AI, cyber risk, privacy engineering, responsible innovation, and the operational realities of enterprise governance.

Known for her practical, people-centered approach, Mae-Beth believes effective governance should do more than manage risk—it should create the trust, accountability, and organizational clarity needed to accelerate responsible innovation. Her guiding philosophy is: Trust by design. Accountability by default.
