Lin Yuan is a seasoned technology executive and AI leader currently serving as Chief AI Officer and Executive Vice President of Engineering at Newfront, a technology-powered insurance brokerage transforming how businesses manage insurance and total rewards. Lin oversees a diverse organization encompassing product engineering, infrastructure, data, and AI. She shapes Newfront’s AI strategy and leads the development of next-generation platforms that modernize insurance operations, elevate client experiences, and deliver transformative value across the insurance ecosystem.
Throughout her career, Lin has been at the forefront of leveraging advanced technologies to solve complex, real-world challenges. Her work combines deep technical expertise with a sharp focus on driving innovation and achieving measurable business outcomes across industries such as education, transportation, and insurance.
Before joining Newfront, Lin held leadership roles at Meta, Coursera, and Lyft. At Meta, she contributed to search products utilized by billions of users globally. At Coursera, Lin scaled global learning platforms and pioneered Coursera for Enterprise, expanding into workforce development and personalized learning through machine learning. At Lyft, she led engineering efforts in safety and insurance, developing tools and models that improved rider and driver safety, reduced accident rates, and streamlined claims processes.
Lin is particularly passionate about operationalizing AI in enterprise settings, ensuring technical robustness, responsible AI practices, and alignment with human decision-making. At Newfront, she has spearheaded the launch of AI-driven products that transform risk management, streamline compliance, and deliver tailored risk insights through intuitive, real-time experiences.
