Kartik Sakthivel, John Hancock Chief Information Officer Kartik Sakthivel, Ph.D., is the Chief Information Officer at John Hancock. A member of the Global Technology and US leadership teams, Kartik is responsible for technology strategy and architecture, as well as supporting product design and delivery, operational excellence, and optimizing transformation and value creation. Prior to joining John Hancock, Kartik served as the Vice President and global Chief Information Officer for LIMRA LOMA and LL Global, a non-profit worldwide trade association for the financial services industry. He has held leadership roles in companies of all sizes, ranging from small and midsize firms to Fortune 100 organizations across multiple industries. Kartik has authored several books on AI and business leadership and speaks frequently on these topics. Kartik holds a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science (with a focus on information quality and a dissertation on best practices for AI) and a graduate certificate in Information Quality from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He also received a Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems/IT and an M.B.A. from Southern New Hampshire University.
