Dr. Karen Lynne-Daniels Ivy, Ph.D. is the Department Head of Technology Professions for the University of Arizona Global Campus. She is a transformational leader, technology strategist, innovator, and change agent transforming organizations and people to what they can become. In her work, she specializes in the development and delivery of technology solutions, strategies, business transformation, and educational development. She is also co-founder of the media tribute company, Visionary Expressions, LLC.

Dr. Ivy’s professional experience includes over 30 years of business, technical, and leadership contributions in the Aerospace, Manufacturing, Commercial Consumer and Office, Health Care, and Information Technology industries. This included Technology Leadership support to Lockheed Martin Space and Aeronautics missions and Honeywell Aerospace missions. She is an accomplished Senior Leader in the Information Technology Services industry with expertise in leadership, strategic development and oversight, service delivery, program management, and technology and innovation transformation. She has received the award and recognition of U.S. Fulbright Specialist for her focus on education. This prestigious awarded is granted by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and World Learning! The Fulbright Program is a United States Cultural Exchange Program with the goal of improving intercultural relations, cultural diplomacy, and intercultural competence between the people of the United States and other countries through the exchange of persons, knowledge, and skills.

The Fulbright Specialist Program is a unique opportunity for U.S. academics and established professionals to engage in two- to six-week, project-based exchanges at host institutions across the globe. This is a prestigious award, and Dr. Ivy is honored to be chosen to represent the United States! Dr. Ivy is a recipient of the 2024 U.S. Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award. The Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest level of the President’s Volunteer Service Award, bestowed by the President of the United States, recognizing individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to community service and made significant contributions to society. Dr. Ivy’s recognition highlights her commitment to educating and inspiring youth in technology and leadership, both in the United States and globally.
