About Joshua
Joshua Robert is the Founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (JAIM) and an M.D./M.Eng. candidate in the Texas A&M School of Engineering Medicine (EnMed) in partnership with Houston Methodist Hospital. His work focuses on translating artificial intelligence from research into real clinical and operational environments across the Texas Medical Center ecosystem.
Joshua operates at the intersection of health systems, product development, and responsible AI deployment, working with clinicians, engineers, and executives to evaluate use cases, implementation barriers, and governance strategies for enterprise healthcare AI. He has contributed to initiatives spanning clinical decision support, care navigation, and AI evaluation frameworks, and has led national-scale innovation and partnership efforts across academic medical centers and industry collaborators.
Through JAIM, he is building a scholarly platform dedicated to improving rigor, transparency, and reproducibility in AI-enabled healthcare, with the goal of helping organizations move from experimentation to safe, scalable adoption.
