John Polito is Deputy General Counsel, Commercial & Technology, at Airbnb, Inc., where he oversees Airbnb's global partnerships, core commercial, technology, and IP legal teams. Before serving in this role, he had a leadership role on Airbnb's global litigation and regulatory team; litigated software license disputes, copyright matters, international tax controversies, and LGBTQ+ and immigration civil rights cases as a law firm partner; was a software engineer focused on statistical forecasting, machine learning, and analytics; and, was a not-very-successful classical musician. John received his J.D. from Stanford Law School and his undergraduate degrees from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
