Jeronimo De Leon is an AI leader with more than ten years of experience building and scaling artificial intelligence products across enterprise and startup environments. As Director of Applied AI at Backblaze, he leads a team developing AI-focused SDKs, developer tools, integrations, and reference applications that support modern, multi-cloud AI workflows. His work also explores how AI agents use the Backblaze platform and how Backblaze applies AI agents and intelligent automation across its internal operations.

Previously, as Head of Artificial Intelligence at Intelas, Jeronimo led AI and data architecture strategy for the real estate intelligence platform, integrating Machine Learning and Large Language Models into data workflows for document classification, validation, and extraction to generate actionable insights for asset management clients.

Jeronimo's career includes leading Bloomberg's first marketing chatbot as Product Management Team Lead, founding Welcome.AI (a research platform helping professionals discover and evaluate AI solutions), driving product go-to-market at Spell, a Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) platform that streamlined ML model development, training, and deployment (acquired by Reddit), and working on IBM Watson and Data Science products as a certified IBM Watson Application Developer.
