Harry McCracken is the global technology editor for Fast Company, based in San Francisco. He writes about topics ranging from gadgets and services from tech giants to the startup economy to how artificial intelligence and other breakthroughs are changing life at work, home, and beyond.
McCracken has appeared on CNBC, CNN, NPR, The History Channel, and other media outlets, and once conducted an investigation into the PC repair business in collaboration with Dateline NBC. He’s moderated panels at CES, Comic-Con International, SXSW, Web Summit, and many other events, along with the Fast Company Innovation Festival.
Before joining Fast Company in 2014, McCracken was editor at large for Time magazine, founder and editor of Technologizer, and editor of PC World. He’s also written for CNET, Discover, Macworld, Slate, USA Today, and many other publications. His work has won awards from American Business Media, the ASBPE, and other organizations.
