Dan Mackey, former bank robber, ex-nuclear engineer, and previous Director of AI Innovation Worldwide at Cigna. Dan now leads AI strategy and transformation at Vector Pulse. Earlier in his career, he led AI at one of the nation’s largest cancer centers and put more AI systems into clinical use than any peer institution at the time. At Cigna, he worked at global scale to advance practical uses of artificial intelligence across healthcare. Today, his work focuses on helping organizations move beyond AI experiments and turn new ideas into systems, products, and operating models that create real value. He is especially interested in how humans and machines think, create, and solve problems in fundamentally different ways.
