Claudia is the Chief Technology Officer, Grid Automation at GE Vernova, where she leads the vision and strategy for AI/ML empowered grid technologies. In this role, she is focused on advancing innovation across digital substations, grid intelligence, automation services, and cybersecurity— enabling utilities & industries to modernize their infrastructure, increase grid resilience, and accelerate the energy transition. She works closely with global teams and customers to shape technology roadmaps that enable higher renewable penetration, reduced maintenance costs, and improved operational uptime.

With over 30 years of experience in the energy industry, Claudia brings deep expertise in product management, advanced technologies, strategic planning, and systems thinking. Prior to becoming CTO, she led the Grid Automation Protection, Automation & Control, including Services & Advanced Automation Applications Product Lines, delivering differentiated solutions through strong customer partnerships and innovation-driven teams.

Earlier, Claudia served as a Business Program Manager at GE Vernova’s Advanced Research Center, where she shaped and managed investment portfolios for the Energy Connections and Oil & Gas businesses. She collaborated with product managers and engineering leaders to quantify product differentiation value, design technology roadmaps, and develop innovative business models.

Her early career included designing industrial control systems for ArcelorMittal and developing control and automation systems for the Atlantis XV tourist submarine.

Claudia holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Automation & Control, as well as an MBA in Marketing. She has been recognized with the 2009 Women in Technology and the 2015 Corporate Technology Staff Leadership Awards within GE Vernova. Claudia is also the holder of three patents in the energy industry.

She is a passionate advocate for inclusive, collaborative, and intellectually curious work environments—believing they are essential for fostering innovation and driving meaningful progress. Outside of work, Claudia enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and taking long walks on the beach.
