About Caleb
Caleb Poore is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Boone County Health Center, a Critical Access Hospital in Albion, Nebraska, a community of 1,800 people that serves rural and frontier communities across four counties and cares for approximately 12,000 unique patients each year. Holding two degrees: a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration and a degree in physical therapy, he brings nearly two decades of rural healthcare leadership experience. In just three years under his guidance, he has increased the hospital’s revenue by 31 percent, earned the National Rural Health Association’s “Top 20 Overall Performing Critical Access Hospital” recognition three years in a row, while maintaining a 98% staff retention. He currently serves as Chairman of the Rural Health Transformation Funding Committee in Nebraska, chairs the Nebraska Hospital Association District II Board, is a board member of Aquila AI, and holds a seat on the local economic development agency. Earlier in his career, while leading five rural health clinics at a Critical Access Hospital in Iowa, he eliminated a $550,000 operating loss in 22 months; later, as Chief Financial Officer of another Critical Access Hospital, he secured consecutive National Rural Health Association Top 20 awards while managing the finances of a 12-bed facility. His sustained success turning around rural hospital finances, strengthening access, recruiting providers, and advancing data, analytics, and technology solutions for workforce and care-delivery challenges positions him to share practical insights on applying artificial intelligence in rural healthcare settings.
