A recognized innovator at the intersection of business strategy, complex systems, and artificial intelligence, Brandon brings over three decades of leadership experience guiding organizations through disruption, transformation, and growth.
Drawing on his background in applied physics and corporate strategy, Brandon has spent his career translating scientific principles into strategic advantages. He pioneered applying complex systems theory to business strategy, showing how networks of companies and stakeholders can self-organize to create new value. He was an early adopter of AI-driven approaches to market analysis, innovation, and strategic decision-making. His work integrates these disciplines into a transformative framework that enables leaders to build adaptive, living strategies in an era of exponential change.
Before founding Trigate Coaching, Brandon held leadership positions in corporate and business unit strategy, mergers and acquisitions, market insights, innovation portfolio management, and communication with the board of directors. He has effectively partnered with senior executives and technologists to architect strategies across competitive ecosystems and culture-driven organizations, from emerging ventures to Fortune 100 companies. Leading joint corporate and academic research initiatives, he directed the development of theories on market evolution and transformation through the lens of complex systems theory. Brandon also served as General Manager in Intel’s New Business Incubator, where he led corporate innovation and market creation initiatives.
Brandon’s leadership extends beyond industry. He has advised the White House, the World Economic Forum, Homeland Security panels, and the Congressional Research Service, offering insights on innovation, emerging technology, and system resilience. His research and thought leadership have been published in academic journals and conference proceedings, and his work has also been featured in Fast Company, The Washington Post, GigaOm, and The Venture Capital Journal. He holds nineteen patents.
Brandon earned a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from the University of Michigan, an MBA from the Oregon Executive MBA program, and a Sc.B. in Engineering from Brown University.
