About Alejandro
Alejandro Correa Bahnsen is an AI executive and applied machine learning leader who specializes in taking AI systems from research to production in complex, real-world environments. He has served as VP of AI at Rappi, AB InBev, and GBM, leading large-scale personalization, recommendation, risk, and agent-based initiatives across consumer platforms, global CPG, and financial services. His work spans building end-to-end ML platforms, deploying LLM-powered systems, and designing governance and operating models that allow AI to scale responsibly under real constraints of regulation, latency, and organizational adoption.
In addition to his industry leadership, Alejandro is a professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey and previously at Universidad de los Andes, where he teaches applied AI and digital transformation. He holds a PhD in machine learning, has authored more than 40 academic papers, and is the inventor on 7 U.S. patents in applied AI systems. His perspective bridges deep technical rigor with hands-on experience navigating change management, platform architecture, and AI deployment at scale across multiple industries.
