Scaling Agents through Agent Engineering [HANDS ON; LAPTOP REQUIRED]
About this session
**Important Note**: This hands-on, interactive workshop is led by Google Cloud and is open to all Ai4 attendees at no additional cost. No RSVP or separate registration is required. To participate and get the most out of this session, please bring your own device (a laptop is recommended). Devices will not be provided on-site.ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP:Building a single AI agent locally is straightforward; scaling it reliably across an enterprise is where traditional request-based architecture breaks down. This session explores 'agent engineering' and the shift toward session-tenant compute. We will demonstrate how to separate your agent's core logic using the Agent Development Kit (ADK) from the complex infrastructure of durable execution. By pairing Agent Substrate for secure, sandboxed isolation with AX for a resumable runtime harness, you can efficiently scale stateful, long-running sessions. Finally, we will showcase how Gemini Enterprise serves as the unified interface to orchestrate these capabilities, seamlessly connecting users to specialized agents via Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocols.
