God, AI and Our Meaning Crisis: Architecting Moral Structures in an Age of AI [RSVP REQUIRED]
About this session
This event requires an RSVP; to attend, submit form hereAs AI becomes increasingly embedded in decision-making, creativity, leadership, and moral reasoning, this talk will confront a deeper question: what happens when wisdom becomes machine-led? The talk will explore AI as non-neutral technology - not merely a tool, but a formative force shaping human agency, meaning making, and our shared moral imagination. In an age marked by a growing meaning crisis, the session will examine the human teleological quest: our search for purpose, direction, and the good, and why technical intelligence alone cannot answer it. The talk will illustrate how foundational religious narratives can help architect moral structures that keep human flourishing at the center of AI design, deployment, and governance. Rather than treating ethics as an afterthought or compliance layer, the session will build from first principles: What is a human being, what is the good life, and what kind of future are we creating? Together, we will explore a worldview framework for engaging AI as a human-centered partner without surrendering meaning, morality, or wisdom to the machine.
